Terms
Terms of use
By using PlotRecall you accept the following, which we have tried to keep readable.
Version 2026-08-11.1. This wording is a draft written to describe how PlotRecall actually works. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction, and PlotRecall claims no statutory compliance on the strength of it.
What PlotRecall is
PlotRecall is an entertainment memory and discovery service. It publishes original factual summaries, structured story data and original visuals so you can remember a story you have already started, decide what to watch next, and find things worth watching. It is not a streaming service, a ticketing service, or a substitute for the works it describes.
Accounts
Browsing PlotRecall needs no account. Where an account exists, you must give accurate details, keep your credentials to yourself, and agree to these terms explicitly when you create it. We record which version of these terms you agreed to and when.
A minimum-age policy has not been settled, so we do not state one here rather than invent a number. When it is settled it will appear in this section and be asked at signup. Nothing about it restricts public browsing. ACCOUNT_AGE_POLICY_REQUIRES_LEGAL_REVIEW
Acceptable use
PlotRecall is provided for personal, non-commercial reference. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, probe or disrupt it, circumvent access controls, spoiler boundaries or security measures, submit malicious input, impersonate anyone, or use the service to harass a person.
Automated crawling beyond what robots.txt permits, bulk extraction of our summaries or structured data, and reuse of that data to train or populate another product are not permitted without a written agreement. Reasonable rate limits may be applied.
What you send us
You may send:
- a factual correction in your own words
- a short explanation of why it is wrong
- a link to a source we could check
Please do not send:
- scripts or screenplay pages
- subtitle files or subtitle text
- copyrighted images, posters or stills
- video or audio clips
- long quotations from a work or another site
- unlawful content
- defamatory allegations
- private or personal information about anyone
You keep whatever rights you have in what you send. You give PlotRecall only the permission it needs to receive your report, review it, and act on the factual correction it contains. No ownership transfers, and nothing you write is published on the site.
A link you send is a candidate only. It carries no authority because it was submitted: it has to pass the same source governance as anything else, and it may be rejected. Sending a report does not guarantee that it is accepted, and it never edits a page by itself. See corrections.
No public posting
PlotRecall has no public posting surface of any kind. There are no public comments, user reviews, discussion forums, public fan theories, user-generated ratings, star ratings, public edit history. What you send reaches a reviewer privately and is not published on the site.
Accuracy and spoilers
Our content is factual reference checked by people. It may still contain errors, and it is not a substitute for the work itself. PlotRecall shows you no story information beyond the point you tell it you have reached, but no system of this kind is infallible — see the spoiler policy for what we can honestly promise and how to report a leak.
Our content and third-party rights
The text, structure, data and original visuals on PlotRecall belong to PlotRecall, and you may not scrape, republish or resell them without permission. Titles, character names, trademarks and other third-party material named on this site remain the property of their owners and are used descriptively to identify the works discussed. How we source content is set out in copyright and takedown.
Affiliate and sponsored links
Some outbound links may earn a commission, and any paid placement is labelled where you can see it. A commercial arrangement never changes a factual claim, a stopping point, a review decision or an organic ranking. See the affiliate and sponsorship disclosure.
Third-party links
We are not responsible for the content, pricing or availability of anything on a site we link to.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited, suspended or ended where use breaches these terms, threatens the service or its readers, or is required for legal or security reasons. Where an account exists you may close it at any time.
Availability and limits
PlotRecall is provided as-is and may change, break or be withdrawn. The limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer and indemnity wording that would normally sit here has not been settled with a lawyer, and printing standard boilerplate we have not had reviewed would be worse than saying so. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the content, from spoilers encountered while browsing, or from interruption of the service.
Governing law
The operating entity and governing jurisdiction are published below once they are finalised. Until then we make no claim about which law governs these terms, because stating one we have not settled would be misleading.
Changes
These terms may change as the product grows. The version is printed at the top of this page, material changes are dated here, and where an account exists we will ask you to accept a materially changed version.
Contact
Questions about these terms, and privacy or rights requests, go through contact.
Independence
PlotRecall is an independent entertainment memory and discovery service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any studio, producer, distributor, performer, streaming service or other rightsholder unless that is expressly stated on the page where it applies. Film and series titles, character names, trademarks and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
Operator and governing details
PlotRecall has not yet published its operating legal entity, registered jurisdiction or formal contact addresses. Rather than print details that do not exist, this section is deliberately empty. Requests can still be raised through the corrections and rights pathways on this site, and this section will be completed before public launch.
