How PlotRecall creates content
PlotRecall is a memory utility, so being wrong is the only failure that really matters. This is the chain every published sentence has to pass through.
The chain
- 1Source or direct observationA governed source, or a reviewer's own observation of the work recorded as a factual note with the position in the story it came from.
- 2Factual claimThe observation becomes a single checkable statement: who, what, when, in which order, and whether a character survives.
- 3Original PlotRecall draftThe claim is written up in PlotRecall's own words. No source prose is carried over.
- 4Independent verificationA second person checks the claim against the evidence. Whoever observed or drafted it cannot be the one who verifies it.
- 5SpoilerLockEach published unit is given the earliest point in the story at which it may be shown, so it stays hidden until a reader has passed that point.
- 6PublicationOnly a verified, spoiler-placed claim can appear on the site.
Where AI fits
AI may assist with drafting or structured processing. AI is not treated as a factual source, and unverified AI output is never canonical truth. Publication depends on PlotRecall's evidence and review workflow.
Nothing generated by a model is published because a model produced it. If the evidence and the review are missing, the claim does not exist as far as this site is concerned.
High-risk claims
High-risk claims — endings, deaths and major reveals — require governed evidence before they can be published at any depth.
The person who observed or drafted a claim cannot be the person who verifies it. That separation is enforced in the tooling, not left to good intentions.
Facts, not interpretation
PlotRecall publishes what factually happened: who a character is, what they did, in what order, how they are related, whether they survive, and where the story stands at the end.
“Ending explained” here means the factual ending state and where the characters are left. It does not mean symbolism, theory or speculation, and PlotRecall does not present interpretation as canonical truth.
No opinions, no ratings
There are no reviews, no star ratings and no editorial verdicts on quality. Deciding what to watch is helped by comparison of factual traits, not by us telling you what is good.
PlotRecall does not operate any of the following:
- public comments
- user reviews
- discussion forums
- public fan theories
- user-generated ratings
- star ratings
- public edit history
Reader corrections
A reader report never edits a page. It opens a case that a person reviews, and any resulting change is written by an editor and goes back through this same chain. See corrections.
Media is separate
Words and images follow different processes. No image, clip or trailer appears unless it has passed the media rights process, and where nothing can be cleared PlotRecall renders its own original artwork instead. See copyright and takedown.
Independence
PlotRecall is an independent entertainment memory and discovery service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any studio, producer, distributor, performer, streaming service or other rightsholder unless that is expressly stated on the page where it applies. Film and series titles, character names, trademarks and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
